Learn It Systems is pleased to announce the addition of veteran educator Dr. Patrick Byrne to the management team as Director of Education.
Dr. Patrick Byrne has joined Learn It Systems as Director of Education and will be responsible for working across Learn It’s organization to improve the impact of each program on student success. He will also be responsible for expanding Learn It’s professional development program.

Dr. Byrne has more than 17 years of experience in education. He has served as a teacher, principal, university coordinator, and consultant in five school systems in two states. Dr. Byrne has led school improvement initiatives involving RTI system implementation, curricular alignment, assessment implementation, and multi-year accreditation reviews. He has written and secured grants on a range of initiatives from technology implementation to college readiness programs and led a yearlong grant initiative at the university level focused on entrepreneurship.

Learn It Systems is pleased to announce that John Carberry, a veteran of building public-private partnerships in education, has joined the team to spearhead new growth initiatives in Specialized Services.
John Carberry has joined Learn It Systems as Vice President of Special Academies and will lead the organizations’ efforts to expand its programs for students with behavior challenges including self-contained classrooms for emotionally disturbed (ED) students and alternative education programs.
Learn It’s EVP for Specialized Programs, Don Scheeler, commented:
“John has a tremendous background in developing public-private partnerships to serve students in need. I am extremely excited to work with John as we partner with schools to deliver exceptional programs for students with special needs.”
A former classroom teacher in Athens, GA, John has over 12 years of experience in creating partnerships with school districts to deliver outcomes focused programs for students in need. He has worked closely with numerous community-based organization, local non-profits and charter school boards to create opportunities for at-risk youth to succeed in both school and life. John commented that “each day it is my goal to make a positive impact in the life of a child. Working at Learn It provides me with the opportunity to make that significant difference to a large number of children.”
Learn It Systems is pleased to announce that Don Scheeler has joined the executive team to expand special education service offering.
Don Scheeler has joined Learn It Systems as Executive Vice President of Specialized Services and will lead Learn It’s special education and alternative education programs for public, private and charter schools. Don has over 25 years of experience in building successful education organizations. Previously, he spent 15 years with the Sylvan/Educate family of companies including serving as the President and CEO of Progressus Therapy, a national provider of school-based therapy. During his tenure, Don positioned the company as the premier provider of high quality therapy services in the K–12 marketplace. He also served as General Manager for the higher education start-up 2U (formerly 2tor).
