What is your role in the organization?
I work with three charter schools in Las Vegas delivering services and developing innovative service delivery models to improve outcomes. As a mother of three, I have also become involved in parent/school trainings to address early language development.
What is the best thing about your job?
The best thing about my job is going to work every day and loving what I do. I work with a wide range of disabilities such as Autism, DiGeorge syndrome, fluency disorders, language delays and phonological disorders. I am so passionate about working with the kids seeing how the changes in their ability to communicate can change their lives.
Describe a typical day at Learn It.
A typical day would be planning for therapy sessions for the day, writing upcoming IEPs, seeing groups of children, collaborating with teachers, meeting with parents and testing/screening for upcoming meetings.
What advice would you offer potential candidates in your field?
